Dear parishioners,
The public announcement has been made, the information has been posted on church doors, and the reality of a new weekend and weekday Mass schedule for the churches of Christ the King Parish is now.
Weekend Mass Schedule
Saturday Vigil Masses: 4:00 pm Saint Joseph Church 5:00 pm Saint Scholastica Church Sunday Masses: 8:00 am Saint Edward Church 9:00 am Saint Joseph Church 9:30 am Saint Scholastica Church 11:00 am Saint Joseph Church 11:30 am Saint Mary Church The most significant changes are these:
Weekday Mass Schedule
8:00 am Monday, Wednesday, Friday Saint Joseph Church *9:00 am Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Saint Edward Church *When the exterior repair work is completed on Madonna of Jerusalem Church, the 9:00 o’clock Mass will be offered there on Tuesday and Thursday. 10:00 am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Saint Scholastica Church There will no longer be a 9:00 o’clock Saturday morning Mass in Saint Edward Church. Confession Schedule 6:30-7:00 pm Every Thursday Saint Scholastica 9:30-10:00 am Every Friday Saint Edward 11:30-Noon Every Saturday Saint Joseph This weekend and weekday Mass schedule was prepared with the hope that there would be as little disruption as possible. Given the limitation of two priests in trying to serve the pastoral and spiritual needs of Christ the King Parish, including multiple weekly funeral Masses as well as weddings on Saturdays, I am relying on your understanding, patience and charity. My brothers and sisters, I believe that we must go forward marked by faith, infused with hope, and determined in love. As we adjust to some new Mass times and perhaps explore worship in other churches of Christ the King Parish, I pray that this will be an opportunity to rediscover, reconnect and recommit to all that is good and holy. Father Dale DeNinno P.S. As part of the Addiction Recovery Ministry (A.R.M.), Father Mike Decewicz will continue to celebrate a 12:00 o’clock Noon Mass in Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Harmar on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. |
Scheduling of Mass Intentions
Masses Intentions that are already scheduled for a weekend or weekday Mass will obviously be honored. If they are scheduled on a day or Mass time that has been affected by the change, they will be moved to the nearest possible date. In many instances they will have to be doubled up with an already scheduled intention. All Masses with their intention will be offered through the remainder of 2022. Please note that the Mass Intention Request Form for 2023 will be printed in the bulletin on the five weekends of October, 2022. |
