Join us Wednesday, October 2, 7:00-8:30 PM at St. Joseph Church Social Hall for an evening of information and sharing about earth-friendly agriculture, our Catholic call to feed the hungry, and addressing food insecurity both locally and in Haiti. Christ the King’s Creation Care Team and Hope for Haiti Committee are hosting a panel with Michael Neumann, Executive Director of Partners in Progress Haiti, Melissa DeStout from the CTK Giving Garden, and Jenn Begg and Becky Urso from St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Mr. Neumann will discuss how PIP fosters sustainable agro-ecology practices, through which farmers teach one another and address hunger in Haiti. We’ll also learn about our Garden Group’s organic practices and how they build community while harvesting produce for the local St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. And we’ll include a garden visit and refreshments! All are welcome. Advance registration is encouraged by emailing [email protected] or click HERE.
